Saudi Agriculture 2016 Exhibition Showcasing the The latest agricultural trends in line with the vision 2030

Saudi Arabia’s vision 2030 emerged based on the government belief in the need to develop the economic sector and achieve sustainable growth and development in the country.

One of the focal points of the vision is reserving the natural resources of the Kingdom, which includes the rationalization of water consumption especially in the field of agriculture, and achieving national food security through creating strategic agricultural partnerships with countries characterized with fertile soils and blessed with an abundance of agricultural resources. It also includes utilizing the vast spaces on the shores of the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf and supporting aquaculture projects thus contributing to the diversification of the production base in the country, in addition to increasing the self-sufficiency of poultry and supporting organic farming.

The main goal of this strategy is to increase the extent of contribution of the agricultural sector in the GDP in order to boost economic growth, provide job opportunities for the citizens, and stay up to date with the latest trends to develop the sector and turn it into a sustainable sector in harmony with the natural resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
